Oleg Leveton is an NPC from Kingmaker. The proprietor of Oleg's Trading Post, Oleg was often the last face adventurers entering the Greenbelt would ever see before endless exploration in the untamed Stolen Lands- and for a particular group of explorers, he was the first friend they made on their adventures.
Description[]
Oleg is a stocky middle-aged man, standing around 5'10. While physically fit, his age is catching up to him, leaving him better suited to doing work around the shop rather than going out and waving a sword at bandits. His hair grows to about shoulder length, and his beard is thick and bushy, often giving off a gruff impression.
Personality[]
Oleg is a loud man, to say the least. He values physical strength and honesty, and highly commends others who display it- almost as highly as he commends those with a good sense of humour or a big appetite. While reckless and likely to try put himself in dangerous situations he can't handle for the sake of others, Oleg is not unintelligent- in fact, his oafish demeanour hides a strikingly intelligent man.
Abilities[]
While by no means an athlete or a fighter himself, he is a shrewd businessman with an excellent understanding of economics and treasury, making him an excellent treasurer for the Kingmakers.
History[]
Oleg Leveton was born in 4665 AR in Rostland, Brevoy. In his youth, he and his wife, Svetlana Leveton, started a business in the city of Restov. However, the two of them found big city life difficult, and chose to move to the wilderness together, setting up Oleg's Trading Post. In late 4709, the Trading Post was first visited by The Stag Lord's bandits. The bandits took a large portion of his goods for the month in exchange for his life, informing him that they'd be back again next month. One of the bandits- Kressle- went as far as to steal Svetlana's wedding ring from her hand. At Svetlana's urging, Oleg put out a call for help to Brevoy, asking for guards to help deter the bandits. Three months passed with no sign of any help, until eventually the Kingmakers arrived and decided to help while continuing their explorations, including the eventual return of Svetlana's ring. A few days after the Kingmakers' arrival, the actual guards (lead by Kesten Garess) arrived, and helped guard the camp from further attacks. The Trading Post was the home base for many adventurers over the next few weeks- The Kingmakers, Faraway the Bard, Jhod Khakven, The Guards, Joy Rezbin and Latricia Evanore, The Hams of Destruction and eventually Akiros Ismort and Brycen Aldori spent time at Oleg's Trading Post.
By 4711, Oleg had been drafted as the Royal Treasurer. He and Svetlana continued to spend the majority of their time at the Trading Post, especially once his request to set up the town of Levet's Crossing around it- except to occasionally visit St. Gilmorg for business and a sip of Croley Kieran's Fangberry Wine.
In 4715, Oleg accompanied the Kingmakers in taking part in the Rushlight Festival in Pitax. In the hours after the Midnight Joust, he was among the Kingmaker's companions who were kidnapped and held prisoner by King Castruccio Irovetti, made to shovel coal into the engines of Castle Pitax. He stayed there throughout the month of Arodus, until he was finally rescued by the Kingmakers. During the following Season of Bloom, Levet's Crossing was the target of the final Bloom- the Jabberwock. The Kingmakers helped evacuate the town before anyone was hurt and while the town itself was badly damaged by the Tane's rampage, it was still intact enough to rebuild later.

Oleg and Svetlana share a particularly healthy relationship. Their marriage has only been strengthened by countless trials and tribulations, and the two are rarely apart for long. In the words of Dave, "these two are the only valid straights in Kilcela".
